ABOUT OUT-FIT
Since its founding more than four years ago, Out-Fit has established itself as one of the premiere consultation, design and supply companies for the private fitness facilities market. Based in Southern California, Out-Fit is a hands-on retailer of quality fitness and therapy equipment, offering unparalleled consultation and creative design services for health clubs and fitness facilities within corporations, apartment complexes, homes, resorts, golf clubs, hospitals, universities, rehabilitation centers and more.
Under the guidance of owner Chris Fisher, the team at Out-Fit sells only the highest quality merchandise and ensures each customer’s satisfaction. The company works closely with high-profile fitness equipment companies such as Cybex and Expresso, often being one of the first in the nation to offer their most exclusive and state-of-the-art products. Each of these training technologies is tested by Out-Fit specialists so they can provide their clients with an unbiased assessment of its effectiveness.
Out-Fit is unique in its experience and approach to creating custom in-home gyms. The process starts with a careful analysis of each client’s lifestyle and personality, which leads to designing a fitness center that meets the client’s individual needs and provides an environment that will enable the client to achieve a healthier quality of life. Out-Fit also is distinctive in its ability to collaborate with contractors and architects, often giving advice on the proper dimensions and spacing of the ultimate home gym, how best to wire it for electricity, sound and multi-media, and optimal placement within the home.
This hands-on approach has yielded an impressive portfolio of innovative private gyms for an array of clients, including former CAA and Disney executive Michael Ovitz, celebrity trainers Gunnar Peterson and Valerie Waters, and actor Hank Azaria, who hired Out-Fit to design both his New York and California gyms.
The Out-Fit team has utilized its more than 45 years of combined experience and problem-solving skills to design gyms for diverse corporate clients as well, including Google, 24 Hour Fitness, Cleveland Golf, Equinox Fitness Clubs, Spectrum Athletic Clubs, The Jonathan Club, The Los Angeles Dodgers, The Oakland A’s, Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Peninsula Beverly Hills and Hotel Bel-Air.
On a mission to meet the needs and surpass the expectations of each client, Out-Fit continues to grow as a company and expand its product lines and services. Everyone at Out-Fit takes great pride in providing excellent customer service for their clients, from the conceptual design phase of a fitness facility through the installation and beyond.

ABOUT CHRIS FISHER
Chris Fisher brings more than 17 years in the retail fitness business and a passion for athletics to Out-Fit, one of the premiere outfitters of in-home and commercial fitness and therapy facilities in Southern California.
A native of Southern California, Fisher attended California State University Northridge, where he studied kinesiology, specializing in teaching and coaching. He has been involved in a variety of sports throughout his life - from being a star athlete in high school football and track, to running the 400 meter hurdles at CalState. His commitment to athletics continues with more than 100 marathons, triathlons and road races completed to date.
Fisher began his career in fitness just out of college, selling home fitness products in retail stores before moving into corporate sales, working with companies like Gold’s Gym and 24 Hour Fitness. During this time, he realized that no companies were suitably serving the high-end home market and opened Out-Fit more than four years ago to fill this niche.
The full-service company has earned a reputation for its expertise in creating custom in-home gyms and Fisher has personally worked with some of the elite of Hollywood, including former CAA and Disney executive Michael Ovitz, celebrity trainers Gunnar Peterson and Valerie Waters, and actor Hank Azaria, who hired Out-Fit to design both his New York and California gyms.
Fisher describes himself as a problem solver when it comes to navigating his clients through the often confusing and overwhelming process of designing a home gym. He takes pride in having a straightforward and affable approach with each client, working to match individuals and families with the fitness equipment that will help them achieve a healthier quality of life. |
